Matthew E. White and His 7 Piece Band Bring Big Inner to Ithaca: Música Soul de Categoría. (con subtítulos)

Recently highlighted in Rolling Stone and The New York Times and hailing from Richmond, VA, Matthew E. White and his band came to The Haunt in Ithaca in support of his highly acclaimed new album Big Inner. On the same bill as The Mountain Goats, White played to a sold-out house. In this video we hear from White and get to hear a few excerpts from the night’s show. The Bitchin’ Kitchen’

The funk-soul band The Bitchin’ Kitchen’ – composed of Eastman School of Music students – played to a packed Abilene Bar and Lounge in Rochester, NY.  Check out a short interview with trumpet player Joe Kozlowski followed by a scorching version of Sly and the Family Stone’s “Dance to the Music” featuring saxophone and trombone solos. / El grupo de funk y soul llamado The Bitchin’ Kitchen’, cuyos componentes son todos alumnos universitarios de La Escuela de Música Eastman, tocaron en Abilene Bar and Lounge en Rochester y el bar estaba a tope.  Mira la breve entrevista con el trompetista Joe Kozlowski y luego escucha una versión candente del tema de Sly and the Family Stone “Dance to the Music” en la que se destacan solos del saxofonista y del trombonista.
